What is “Alternative Dispute Resolution”?
Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”) is a method of resolving insurance conflicts without the high costs and delays commonly associated with litigation by allowing impartial, third parties to help resolve the dispute.
M.Bitner Consulting Group offers unique “ADR” services for conflicts resulting from property-related insurance claims. We can resolve disputes for both policyholders and insurance companies quickly and economically. We act as an appraiser or umpire on insurance claims where the insured or carrier has invoked the Appraisal Clause commonly found within the insurance policy. We have decades of experience working with law firms, contractors, engineers, consultants, public adjusters, equity groups, businesses, HOA's and homeowners regarding appraisal, mediation, and arbitration of high-value and/or complex property claim disputes.

We perform a thorough investigation and meet with all parties to assess the overall scope and severity of the damages. M.Bitner Consulting Group specializes in commercial, complex, large-loss, and disputed claims. We have also handled thousands of residential claims and can assist with any of field, desk, or catastrophe adjusting needs. We are very adept at helping set the appropriate reserves the first time; no more "scope creep." We understand the importance of setting accurate, upfront reserves to avoid negative and unpredictable financial implications down the road. M.Bitner Consulting Group also provides a customized, full report along with detailed photo documentation and an RCV/ACV estimate prepared by our Xactimate Certified estimators. We take a tremendous amount of pride in our thoroughness, quality of reporting, and honest representation on every claim.
About Our Founder
Marc Bitner
FOUNDER
Marc Bitner began his career in 2001 as an Independent Adjuster (“IA”) with Cunningham Lindsey, a global independent adjusting firm. Under the mentorship of an Executive General Adjuster, he developed a strong foundation in thoroughness, attention to detail, and, most importantly, integrity. His dedication and expertise led to his appointment as Branch Manager of the Denver, CO office, and he quickly advanced to District Regional Manager, overseeing much of the Rocky Mountain West. For 12 years, Marc handled a vast array of property claims as a General Adjuster and played a key role in hiring, training, and mentoring numerous Property and Catastrophe Adjusters.
Following the imminent closure of Cunningham Lindsey in 2013, Marc played an instrumental role in building C3 Group, a Colorado-based national Public Adjusting firm, into one of the most respected firms in the industry. As Vice President of Operations and Claims, he contributed to C3 Group’s recognition as one of Inc. 5000's "Fastest Growing Companies in America" for four out of five consecutive years. Throughout his tenure, he held multiple responsibilities, including operations, marketing, sales, IT, and compliance.
Transitioning from Independent General Adjuster to Public Adjuster gave Marc a unique perspective on the overall claims process. He learned the importance of fostering positive, mutually beneficial relationships between all parties involved. His guiding principle is simple: adjusters are adjusters, and claims are claims—every loss should be assessed fairly, without bias, and with professionalism, respect, and integrity.
